Prehistoric Cuties : Oviraptor

Here is my last dinosaur : the oviraptor, whose name litterally means "egg thief". For a long time, it was believed that it fed on the eggs of other dinosaurs that it stole, since fossils of this theropod were found near nest. But today it is believed that it was in fact his own nest, that is one big mother hen of the Cretaceous 😅

Voici mon dernier dinosaure : l'oviraptor, dont le nom signifie "voleur d’œuf". Pendant longtemps, on croyait qu'il se nourrissait d’œuf d'autres dinosaures qu'il volait, vu qu'on retrouvait des fossiles de ce théropode près de nid. Mais on pense aujourd'hui qu'il s'agissait en faites de son propre nid, une grosse mère poule du crétacé en somme 😅
